Welcome to the Fall Semester at Ecocation!
欢迎大家来到Ecocation 秋季户外课程！
As we start our adventures outside this Fall, we will be learning about our local foliage, different local animals and all that is beautiful in British Columbia! We will also be learning the different ways people celebrate this time of the year. We will discover the similarities between cultural celebrations and learn the unique differences.
伴随着秋季户外冒险课程的到来，我们会学习到当地美丽的秋叶，各种动物以及BC省所有美好的事物！我们也会了解人们会用不同的方式庆祝秋季的到来。我们会发现不同文化的庆祝活动之间的相似之处，并且学习它们的独特之处。
As the children are growing roots in nature outdoors, this is the perfect classroom to open their minds about our great big world. Our lessons will include how our global community is connected. Teaching the children about our different cultural celebrations, and how they relate to nature is, a fantastic way to show children how we are all one.
孩子们在探索大自然中逐步成长。户外课程是一个美妙的课堂，孩子们可以尽情地在这里了解这个美好的世界。Ecocation 户外课程会诠释全球社区是如何紧紧联系在一起的。让孩子们了解，不同文化的庆祝活动以及它们如何与大自然息息相关，这也是向孩子们展示我们是一个整体的重要方式。
Mid-Autumn Festival 中秋节（农历八月十五）
We will have our first class of this semester during the time that cultures from China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The festival celebrates three fundamental concepts:Gathering, Thanksgiving, and Praying. We will be learning about the Legend of the great archer Hou Yi and how the goddess Chang’e came to be. We will use a Stone story so the children can practice their story telling.
我们秋季课程的第一节课在中秋节前后。中秋节不仅是中国的传统节日之一，也是越南，日本，韩国，马来西亚和新加坡等国的传统节日。中秋节的庆祝包含三层基本含义：阖家团圆，感恩丰收以及祈祷未来。我们会借用石头给孩子们讲述关于中秋节-后羿和嫦娥的故事，锻炼孩子们叙述故事的能力。

Ecocation families are always eager to extend the lessons that the children are learning from class to their homes. An easy way to do this is through a story. As Ecocation educators have been teaching for well over ten years now, we find that no matter what the age or language ability of a child is, a great book can open their minds.

This semester we will be focusing on our global community and how we can celebrate that. Many children already know that saying “Hello” can bring another person happiness. Practicing this kind gesture is a simple way to show children how a little word can make a big difference. This book is a great example of how many different people from around our world can smile and say “Hello”.
本学期我们将会重点关注全球社区和我们如何庆祝全球的不同节日。很多孩子已经知道，说“你好”会给他人带来快乐。不断地练习这些善意的举动就是一种简单的方法，像孩子们传达：小小的善意表达会带来大大的不同。这本书就是一个很好的例子-它讲述了来自世界各地不同的人们都可以微笑着对他人说：“你好”。
